Can't Afford a Honeymoon? Here's What to Do Instead
Can't find room in your wedding budget for a traditional honeymoon? We totally get it! Weddings are expensive, but you don't have to skip the honeymoon entirely. We love these ideas that let you spend time as newlyweds, while not costing you a fortune.
Take a Staycation
Don't miss out on taking time off after the wedding, because you will need it! Taking a staycation can be such a relaxing and fun way to get used to being married, without all the fuss of making travel plans. Be a tourist in your own town and do all the things you've always wanted to do near your home, but never had the time to do.

Go on a Road Trip
Drive to an Airbnb in a town you've always wanted to visit. Bonus tip: find one with a hot tub! This can be as near or far away as you'd like. Make this as relaxing or fun-filled as you want! Want to do nothing for an entire weekend? Spend your time at the Airbnb in the hot tub, watching movies, and ordering takeout! Want to explore a new city and visit all of the museums? Get in your car and start the adventure!

Have a Spa Day
There's nothing more relaxing than spending a day at the spa. Schedule an entire day with facials, massages, saunas, and pedicures! Chances are that a nearby spa has all the things you want to do.

Schedule a Wine Tasting
Is there a place nearby that does wine tastings? Hop online and find a place that looks interesting to you! Make it an event by getting dressed up and getting dinner afterward.

Make it a Mini-Moon
A mini-moon is a short vacation that newlyweds take together soon after the wedding. They work especially well for brides on a budget and those who don't have a lot of time to travel. Some of our favorite mini-moon locations are: Miami, Florida; Maui, Hawaii; Sedona, Arizona; and Traverse City, Michigan.
