7 Self-Care Tips While Planning a Wedding

If there's ever a time to prioritize your self-care, while planning a wedding is definitely the time. Taking care of yourself, making sure you have the energy you need, and reducing your stress is of utmost importance to help you accomplish planning a successful wedding without burning yourself out. Keep reading for seven self-care tips you can practice while planning your wedding.

1. Prioritize Sleep

You may be tempted to stay up late and finish one more thing on your wedding checklist, but don't underestimate the power of a good night's rest! Prioritizing your sleep will ensure you have the energy to tackle your daily tasks and you'll feel better overall.

2. Start a Skincare Routine

Nobody wants blemishes or red, irritated skin on their big day! Start a skincare routine now so you can have the healthiest, most beautiful skin you've ever had. It's also a plus that having a skincare routine is just a fun part of the day to look forward to! I love my nighttime routine, because it lets me unwind and get ready to sleep.

3. Exercise Regularly

No, we don't mean exercise yourself to death because you're trying to fit into your wedding dress. Make exercise a part of your normal, daily routine to give yourself an energy boost and give you the confidence to look and feel your best on your big day! Try doing yoga for an added bonus of reducing stress!

4. Eat a Healthy Diet

Another way to help you look and feel your best on your wedding day is to make sure you are eating a healthy diet full of the nutrients your body needs. Overall, your body will thank you and you will have more energy to fuel your daily activities.

5. Spend Time With Friends

Take a break from wedding planning and do something fun or relaxing with your friends! This will rejuvenate you and bring you joy, reducing stress and anxiety that you may be dealing with. Plus, your friends can be there for you if you need to vent about anything, especially wedding-related.

6. Do What You Love

Take some time for yourself to do what you love! Do you enjoy riding your bike for miles? Go for a bike ride! Do you like spending Sunday afternoons baking cookies? Fill your house with the smell of warm cookies and bake the afternoon away! Whatever it is that brings you joy, allow yourself the time to do it. If you have to, put it on your schedule!

7. Delegate What You Can

You don't have to do everything yourself, even if you may think you want to or should. I guarantee there are some tasks that you can let your friends and family take off your plate! You will feel so much better, because more tasks will be done and they'll probably be done even quicker with more help.
